My beautiful Aussie of 12 years died because of this non-curable deadly cancer. We were all devastated beyond words…PLEASE PLEASE donate to this research project. No guardian of their beloved family member should have to go thru this, our hearts are still broken.

  5. Anna Bielicka-Garrido

We lost our beloved Trixie to this awful cancer. It came out of nowhere and what we thought is going to be just an emergency visit, turned into a last visit. We had to say goodbye. Our hearts are broken into pieces. We wish we could bring her back.

  6. Sam Bellaccomo

This is worthwhile. Let’s put an end to this ugly disease soon.

We put our beloved 5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog down yesterday, the day he was diagnosed. This is my third dog in a row to succumb to this horrible cancer.

We lost 3 to this damn cancer.. how I hate it.. all diagnosed and gone with in 2 weeks despite all we could do to save them. RIP Forrest GSD 9 yr lost 12/31/12, Kiera GSD 9 yr lost 9-12-15 & Rosa Golden Ret. 9 yr. 9-22-16. I spread the word about this organization and pray we find something to at least slow it down.. once diagnosed they are gone so fast….

I lost my SWEETHEART Sampson to this horrible cancer at 8 years of age. He was a boxer/mastiff mix. He was diagnosed and passed in 2 weeks. My husband and I are devasted. He passed on March 30 2017.

  13. Joey Jensen

We feel that dogs should be treated as humans. this means helping to find them medical care in any way we can.

  14. Melba Detmer

We too lost our beloved family pet Lucy to this horrible cancer. Lucy was our Golden Retriever of almost 11 years. She was diagnosed with HSA and gone within a week. We had to say goodbye on March 30, 2018. Our family is devastated and heartbroken. She was the most loving girl and so dearly missed.

We lost Bentley our 8 year old beagle mix less than 24 hours after he first developed symptoms. He had a very large cardiac hemangiosarcoma. We were devastated. I hope with these donations they can find ways to diagnose earlier or find a cure so families don’t have to go through what we did.

We are definitely supportive of this cause to help those dogs with Hemangiosarcoma. We have a deaf Pit mix, Marcie, who has had 6 cutaneous Hemangiosarcoma tumors removed and is doing well. Our deaf/blind Bull Terrier mix, Lucy, recently had a cutaneous Hemangiosarcoma removed from her elbow area on a front leg – she too is doing well. Both dogs currently go to Texas A&M every 12 weeks for ultrasound, x-ray and blood work to monitor their status. It’s our hope that there will be a cure for HSA.

  17. Gabby Soule

Last week I lost Radley my 8 year old boxer mix to cardiac hemangiasarcoma. We were lucky to get 2 more months of love after his diagnoses, but wish he could’ve had many more years. We miss him so much. Let’s find a cure to this awful disease. No dog should have to go through this.

I lost my Max to this vicious cancer on January 24, 2019. He was 10 1/2 and a beagle mix. I feel grateful that, unlike many other pet parents who only a couple days or a couple weeks, we had 2 months with our boy following his diagnosis. But I’m devastated and heartbroken that we couldn’t do more for him. I hope that research can find a cure or at least treatment that will extend length and quality of life.

Our dog 12 year old dog Zoe corgi/black lab mix collapsed early one morning 60 days after having her spleen removed due to a tumor diagnosed as hemangiosarcoma. It took 60 days for another tumor to develop, burst and take her life. The night before her death… she gave us all her favorite toys and happily played. So vocal she sat in front of the refrigerator after for her treat. We are heartbroken… Absolutely horrible cancer so insidious. Please find a cure…

We lost Haley to hemangiosarcoma and had very little time with her. I hope this donation helps research to improve identification, treatment and find a cure so that other families do not have to experience this terrible loss. Haley is loved and missed everyday.

We lost our sweet, sweet 13-year-old lab Jade to this terrible disease on July 6. We took her into the emergency vet the day she started showing symptoms-we had no idea that would be our last day with her. This has been the absolute hardest loss I’ve had in my life and it’s left a huge hole in our hearts and in our home.

I lost my Argo to this insidious cancer. It took away my best friend after 10 years of love and happiness. I am so lost without him. I want to do what I can to stamp out this disease once and for all.

I found this charity while looking to make a donation to friends of our who lost their dog. I made a donation to the HSA research group because in September (2019) we lost our Scooter to HSA. His spleen ruptured in August, we did an emergency splenectomy, and were able to have 5 more weeks with him. In researching HSA I found out it is the most common cancer for dogs. I found a support group on Facebook and every day at least one new dog is diagnosed and one dog has died. There are members who have had dogs live well beyond the 1-3 month prognosis….the longest right now is 52 months. Many of the members have not used chemo, but are cooking for their dogs, using Chinese herbs and vitamins. It is rewarding to see that many have made it passed the 1-3 month prognosis, but knowing how prevalent it is…I really pray that your research will find ways to cure or slow down this cancer!!!
